More than twenty members of C4E gathered in that friendly pub, the Beehive, on 14 November for a pre-Christmas social evening. It was a great opportunity to meet friends and former marching companions over a pint. There was some EU chat and dark humour over the Trump shock, but mostly it was just fun to be with like-minded people and catch up with everyone’s news in a convivial atmosphere. We must do it again next year – by which time we hope the promised ‘reset’ will be well underway and the inevitability of eventual rejoin will have become even clearer. Meanwhile, Happy Christmas to all Europhiles!
