Cheltenham for Europe met up on Cheltenham High Street at our familiar, although not recently used, street stall site. It was a great opportunity to get out on the street again to show that we haven’t gone away and to promote the positives of rejoining the EU. It was a great feeling knowing that there were pro-EU events going on all over the UK and Europe at the same time.
As well as meeting lots of Cheltenham supporters we were very pleased to meet up with pro EU supporters from further afield – Gloucester, Bourton on the Water, Stroud, Winchcombe, Worcester, Stratford and Bristol to name a few. There were many familiar faces but lots of new people who it was a pleasure to meet.
As well as a great opportunity to meet up and reaffirm our commitment to rejoining the EU, we engaged with passers by with our Brexitometer/ Rejoinometer and handed out Rejoin stickers and flyers promoting the EU.
A very big thank you to everyone who came – we will be out again soon!
